I was back at work today. Podna now has my cold. Ha. I’m much better now, although still have a tendency to cough, particularly after walking around in the cold air. Otherwise I’m now fine.
Podna texted me mid-afternoon to say he was going fishing. He wound up at Island Bay and to his delight he got three tarakihi, three kahawai (small one put back) and a red cod (put back). Who needs a red cod when you’ve got tarakihi?
This is a great success as Island Bay is said to be a tarakihi spot but we’ve never managed to get any from there, mainly because we’re too chicken/lazy to fish from the rocks which is where tarakihi like to go. He obviously hit a school of them when they were coming in to feed for the evening and that’s the way it goes sometimes. Yay!
